An unfortunate driver was ejected from his automobile this past week when driving in Lemon Grove. The driver was injured as a result of a hit and run collision. ABC San Diego News Channel 10 reports the accident occurred in the early morning hours this past Thursday along State Route 94 by Lemon Grove Ave.
A Closer Look at the Accident
Police are uncertain why a Mercedes sedan drove off the road after being struck by another vehicle. The sedan traveled up along an embankment and struck a sign post. The sheer violence of the collision resulted in the driver being ejected during the crash.
Emergency responders who responded to the accident scene transported the injured party to a nearby hospital so his injuries could be treated. The driver suffered major injuries so he will likely be in the hospital for a lengthy period of time. Police are still attempting to determine what, exactly, caused the crash in the first place. The incident is still under investigation with local law enforcement. The ensuing police report along with eyewitness accounts and medical reports will help obtain financial compensation through a lawsuit.
The Ensuing Litigation
According to a California Highway Patrol official, the Mercedes sedan veered to the side of the freeway after another vehicle slammed into it. The injuries resulting from this collision have the potential to prove compensable in a court of law. If the ensuing personal injury lawsuit is successful, it will pave the way to a settlement or a court award that covers the cost of all related expenses including medical expenses, pain, suffering, lost wages, diminished earning capacity and additional losses.
The ball is now in the court of the victims’ attorney. This personal injury attorney will fiercely litigate on behalf of the victims to obtain the financial compensation necessary to offset their losses and help them move forward after this potentially devastating collision.
