An automobile slammed into a Pasadena Cheesecake Factory this past week. KTLA News Channel Five reports the automobile that crashed into the building was a part of a multi-vehicle accident at an intersection near the restaurant prior to hitting the storefront. The exact site of the crash was the area by Colorado Boulevard and Fair Oaks Avenue. It is particularly interesting to note this accident occurred in the early morning hours.
The Response to the Crash
Emergency responders made a beeline to the accident scene to provide assistance. The response crews determined there was significant structural damage to the facility. The driver of the vehicle that slammed into the building was transported to a nearby hospital so his injuries could be treated. However, these injuries are not life-threatening. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident also suffered injuries.
What Caused the Crash?
At this point in time, there is no word as to what caused the accident to start with. Local law enforcement officials are still investigating the crash. Thankfully, the restaurant was not open at the time of the accident so it appears as though the only two individuals injured were the drivers of the vehicles involved in the crash.
The Ensuing Lawsuit
Police are still attempting to piece together the puzzle of why the accident occurred in the first place. There is a good chance one of the drivers is solely responsible for the crash. If the personal injury attorney who represents one of the victims can prove the other party involved in the accident caused the accident, that individual will be found guilty of negligence, meaning the failure to provide due care to those in one’s vicinity. If negligence is proven, the victim will receive financial compensation to offset the cost of medical treatment, pain, suffering, diminished earning capacity, lost wages and other losses resulting from the accident.
